Core Feature Flows :

Creating comfortable user onboarding experience
Joining events
Managing join requests
Searching interested activities.

Quick early sketch by developers

When I joined the team, I was presented with early sketches created by developers to convey their ideas. With these sketches, I was able to envision brainstormed features and the desired direction for the app.

00 Design Guideline

Upon completing the low-fidelity wireframes, I initiated the process by developing design guidelines to ensure consistency in the user interface across the application before proceeding with further development.

01 Userflow for Onboarding

I worked on UX writing and maintained the tone of friendliness for signup page and as a beta version, prioritized necessary information to join.

02 Sending requests & question about the event

I aimed to maximize engagement in the comment room (a space for Q&A). Following internal user testing, I discovered that the location and wording were confusing, which distracted attention from focused areas. Upon reviewing other apps, I replaced the text with icons, considering users' familiarity with popular social media icons, and displayed the number of interactions alongside icon.

03

Handling requests and engaging in group chat.

I designed a page for organizer to overview about the event, handle participants and new requests to provide a natural flow for welcoming new participants to engage in group chat.

04
Explore new activities outside of comfort zone

I designed 3 layouts to view activities for more detailed search results in desired or new areas and created prototype to communicate with developers.

At Flowmingle I learned...

  • Integrate learned ideas into a rough sketc
  • Consider questions, thoughts, and processe
  • Adopt a developer's mindset
  • Persuade CEO on design direction

Update on the product

  • It was launched 2 months after I left the team.
